The Mission Economic Development Corporation (Mission EDC) is created to encourage the expansion and development of economic growth in the City of Mission and surrounding areas.

Mission Economic Development Corporation is dedicated to the creation of new job opportunities for our citizens through the attraction, retention, and expansion of businesses. We are ready to offer our assistance to the public, local businesses and prospective businesses in site selection, area demographics, planning, workforce development, construction issues, and other items.
Partially funded through a local ½ cent sales tax dedicated to economic development, Mission Economic Development Corporation’s purpose is to support, encourage and assist in sustainable economic growth for the City of Mission and the surrounding communities. Mission Economic Development Corporation, commonly referred to as Mission EDC, is overseen by an active volunteer Board of Directors made up of members of our community, City leadership and the business community.
Mission EDC manages the marketing of every aspect of development the city has to offer, through public relation with local, state, national and international mediums and trade publications. Together the City of Mission, Mission Economic Development Corporation and the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce promote and create a positive business environment within the city.
